By Train
There are several daily trains from Moscow. Train travel from Moscow to Sochi takes from 26 hours (the fastest train) to 32 hours. (Cost $100-300)
There are trains from almost all cities in Russia. There's been a talk about extending Rostov-Berlin train route to Sochi.
Unlike Sochi 's airport, our railway station is something we can be proud of. The building was completely renovated several years ago. The pride was diminished a little with the introduction of a 50 rub. fee in one of the main waiting halls last year. But the weather is usually good so most people prefer waiting for their trains in the outside area anyway. There is a nice fountain and plenty of benches.
By Ferry or Hydrofoil
The seaport of Sochi is located in the city centre and serves both passenger and cargo ships. There is direct sea connection with Turkey and Georgia. There is a ferry to Trabzon twice or three times a week. A ferry or hydrofoil to Georgia three times a week.
We receive many questions regarding ferries timetable and prices. This information changes very often. Please, visit our forum and check for the latest updates. There is a link to Sochi Sea Port website. We do not make ticket reservations etc. If you have any questions, please use our forum.
